The Russian diplomat made the statement during a visit to the People’s Army Newspaper on July 13.
The reception for Ambassador Bezetko and his entourage was chaired by the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Major General Doan Xuan Bo and attended by Deputy Editor-in-Chief Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu and other heads of the newspaper’s departments.
Sending thanks to the host for a warm reception, the Russian diplomat expressed his delight at the outcomes of the cooperation between the newspaper and the Russian Embassy in Vietnam, contributing to consolidating and beautifying the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam.
Ambassador Bezdetko stressed that as an organ of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, and the voice of the armed forces and people of Vietnam, the newspaper has played an important role in the political life of the country and provided objective and friendly information about Russia’s situations.

Speaking highly of the political newspaper as a mainstream information channel, the Russian official said that it is among the newspapers that he himself and the Russian diplomacy agency read every morning because it provides fast and accurate information about socio-economic, military and defense issues in Vietnam and abroad, including Russia.
He hoped that the two sides’ relations will be deepened in the coming time.
For his part, Major General Doan Xuan Bo welcomed the ambassador’s visit. He laid stress on the similarities, especially in culture between the two countries and long-lasting relationship between the two peoples, as well as deep sentiments of the Vietnamese people for former Soviet Union and present Russia despite upheavals in the world.
The newspaper’s chief highly appreciated the outcomes of the cooperative ties between the newspaper and the Russian Embassy in Vietnam over the past time.

To increase the efficiency of the two sides’ cooperation, General Bo suggested further exchange of experiences, visits, dissemination of information about the defense ties of the two countries, and other activities to popularize the image of Vietnam and its military among the Russian people and the armed forces of Russia among the people and People’s Army of Vietnam to be on par with the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership.
