At the reception, PAN’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Colonel Ha Manh Tuong briefed the guests on the PAN’s organization and activities. He emphasized that the PAN has enjoyed outstanding developments in recent time and secured consideration and trust of the Party’s, State’s and Army’s leaders. Besides, its prestige has been promoted with broader impacts on the army and society.

Tuong added that the PAN has been building a project on developing it into a key multi-media agency to serve the public. Accordingly, it will focus on boosting information dissemination on the Party’s and State’s standpoints, guidelines and policies and the country’s socio-economic development, defense, security and other activities involving the armed forces. The newspaper will also develop media and audio, communications and organization of events.

In return, the Lao head delegate expressed his delight at visiting the PAN and thanked the newspaper’s cadres and reporters for a warm welcome.

Also at the meeting, Colonel Le Phi Hung, Head of the PAN’s representative office in Ho Chi Minh City gave a briefing on the office’s operation and development since its establishment over 41 years ago.

The Lao guests also shared experiences with the office’s cadres and reporters.
