Representative office of Laos’ Public Security Ministry visits Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command

During the working session, the leadership of the Border Guard Command of Ha Tinh updated the delegation on the situation along the border section between Vietnam's Ha Tinh province and the Lao provinces of Boulikhamsai and Khammouane.

The Lao delegates were also briefed on the two sides’ implementation of coordination contents, especially the exchange of information related to national security, public order, and safety in the border and border gate areas; their coordination in combating crimes.

In the spirit of special friendship and solidarity, the host reviewed achievements and pointed out shortcomings in carrying out coordination activities over the past time; outlined plans for future cooperation in managing and protecting the border and combating crimes. Participants also emphasized the need to regularly maintain the exchange of information on drug-related crimes and emerging types of narcotics.

At the event, the head of the Lao delegation highly appreciated the collaboration between the Border Guard Command of Ha Tinh and the police forces of Laos’ Boulikhamsai and Khammouane provinces over the past years. He also expressed strong support for further strengthening cooperation between the two sides in managing and protecting the border, fighting crime, and ensuring political security, social order, and safety along the shared Vietnam - Laos borderline.
