Refresher course on military strategy studies opened for Cambodian officers
PANO - The Defense Strategy Institute of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense opened a training course on military strategy studies for officers from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces at Unit 871 of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on November 13.

The course aimed to improve the command and methods of military strategy research for officers from the Center of Military Strategy Studies of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
During the month-long course, the trainees will learn theories, participate in field trips, and practice compiling themes on military strategy.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Major General Hoang Ky Lan, Deputy Head of the Defense Strategy Institute, emphasized that grasping thoroughly and implementing the foreign relations policy of the Vietnamese Party and State, the institute has defined the training for officers of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in general and for the Center of Military Strategy Studies in particular as one of its important political missions.
Major Lan hoped that the trainees will overcome difficulties and do their utmost to meet the requirements of the training course while promoting exchanges of experience and issues of mutual concerns with their instructors, contributing to improving mutual understanding and trust between the two militaries and the two peoples in general, and between the Defense Strategy Institute of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Center of Military Strategy Studies of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in particular.
For his part, Lieutenant General Heng Chhay, Deputy Director of the Cambodian center highlighted the valuable support from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Defense Strategy Institute for the military strategy studies work of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and the center as well.
On behalf of the center’s officers, the Cambodian general affirmed determination to heighten responsibility to meet the course’s requirements.
