Lieutenant General Phan Anh Viet (first from right) presenting certificates to Cambodian trainees with outstanding records at the course

During the course, the trainees studied major international and regional situations that have impacts on defense in the early years of the 21st century; issues on non-traditional security, globalization and international economic integration, combined with better knowledge on Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos friendship, Vietnamese people’s warfare in the national resistance wars, staff work at the operational level, and defense and security reinforcement methods.

Besides, the Cambodian officers participated in field trips to several military units of the Vietnam People’s Army and localities in Vietnam.

Notably, all trainees completed the course with good results.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Lieutenant General Phan Anh Viet, Deputy Director of the academy held that the course offered an opportunity for the trainees to study and learn more about the country and people of Vietnam as well as the Vietnamese Party’s and State’s guidelines and policies on foreign relations in the current period.

Furthermore, he hoped that the Cambodian trainees would effectively apply what they learnt to their units’ reality and make efforts to boost the bilateral traditional relations.
