The weather in Moscow, Russia was rather chilly on the day. Although the snow had melted, the wind was very strong.

During a review after several training sessions and rehearsals on Red Square, Deputy Head of the delegation Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Truong commented that the formation performed well the movements of marching evenly, marching at attention, changing steps and other basic movements, ensuring a marching speed of about 120 steps per minute according to the host country's regulations. The formation was unified, solemn, and powerful, showcasing the strength and determination of the Vietnam People’s Army.

He added that the delegation needs to maintain consistent distance with other formations in the parade. Training in strong winds also requires the flag bearers to exert more effort to keep the national flag firm and flying proudly in the wind.
