The parade is to mark the 80th anniversary of Russia’s Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War (May 9, 1945 - 2025).

Though the rehearsal started at 10p.m., the VPA delegation left their accommodation at 2p.m. for the Red Square to avoid traffic jam in the capital city of Russia and to complete strict security procedures of the organizers as well as to meet the organizers' request of early presence.

On May 3 afternoon, it was quite nice in Moscow. It was sunny and warm with temperatures above 10 degrees Celsius. However, it got colder as night fell.

Because it was the weekend, lots of people gathered around the Red Square area.

The People’s Army Newspaper presents some images of Vietnamese troops at the preliminary rehearsal for the Red Square Parade.
