During the visit, General Cuong and the Vietnamese delegation were briefed on the brigade’s history of formation, combat, and development. They also observed a live demonstration of commando tactics and techniques performed by hundreds of officers and soldiers at the brigade’s training ground.

On behalf of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army, General Cuong expressed sincere thanks to the brigade’s Commanding Officer and all officers and soldiers for their warm and respectful reception. He conveyed his deep impression of the brigade’s proud traditions and ongoing development in both organization and strength. He recognized the brigade as one of the most prominent and vital units within the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, honored with numerous awards and titles by the Cuban Party, State, and military.

As a core unit, the Mobile Commando Brigade holds strong potential for cooperation with units of the Vietnam People’s Army. Such collaboration would help enhance combat capabilities, protect vital targets, maintain public security and order, support natural disaster response efforts, and most importantly, counter hostile forces seeking to undermine each nation’s revolution.

General Cuong affirmed that the Vietnam People’s Army stands ready to welcome brigade officers to Vietnam for visits and exchanges of training experience and cooperation. These activities would help further improve technical and tactical skills, combat readiness, and mission performance.

He also highly commended the brigade’s demonstration, noting that the outstanding performance reflected the spirit, determination, and elite combat qualities of Cuba’s commando forces.

General Cuong expressed strong confidence that the unit would continue to uphold its tradition of unity, overcome difficulties, maintain revolutionary vigilance, enhance training quality, and improve combat readiness to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks. He also voiced his belief that the brigade would prevail in any defensive operation against enemy aggression, living up to the title “Men of Iron Will” bestowed upon them by leader Fidel Castro.
