The visit is paid at the invitation of Senior Lieutenant General Saichay Kommasith, Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People’s Army.

It carries important significance in strengthening high-level exchanges and contacts between the military leaderships of the two countries, thereby further consolidating political trust and the close solidarity between the two nations in general and between their armed forces in particular.
