The delegation was led by Nguyen Van Manh, Vice Chairman of the Hue Municipal People’s Committee and comprised representatives of the Hue Municipal Department of Foreign Relations, related bodies, units, and the Hue Municipal Border Guard Command. They visited, and extended Bunpimay greetings to Ta Vang Police Station, Border Protection Company 531 in Sekong province; Co Tai Police Station, and Border Protection Companies 511 and 514 in Salavan province.

At the units, Nguyen Van Manh and the delegation inquired after officers and soldiers as well as extended Bunpimay greetings to them. He affirmed that the special solidarity between Hue city and Salavan and Sekong provinces has developed consistently, and acquired practical achievements recently. He believed in the coming times, functional forces of both sides would continue collaborate well in managing, protecting territorial sovereignty, and ensuring security in border areas, contributing to building the Vietnam-Laos shared border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and sustainable development.

On the occasion, the delegation presented gifts to Lao units, exchanged information, and agreed on several collaboration measures related to border management and protection in the time to come.

The same day, the Hue Municipal Border Guard Command, in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue city, visited and offered gifts to people in Se Kap and Ka Lo villages (Kaleum district, Sekong province), Co Tai village (Sa Mouay district, Salavan province); and Lao border protection units. The delegation presented a total of 300 gifts, each worth VND 500,000, to Lao people and functional forces.
