“For U.N. Peacekeeping Cause” medal presented to members of L2FH Rotation 6
PANO - The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) has organized a ceremony to present the “For U.N. Peacekeeping Cause” medal to members of Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 6 in recognition of their contribution to U.N. peacekeeping operations.
The event was attended by the UNMISS Force Commander Lieutenant General Mohan Subramanian, international delegates, the hospital’s leadership, and its entire personnel.
The “For U.N. Peacekeeping Cause” medal is the U.N.’s prestigious award to acknowledge the dedication, resilience, and exemplary service of the leadership, doctors, medical technicians, and logistics personnel working under challenging conditions in support of peace.
Speaking at the ceremony, UNMISS Force Commander Mohan Subramanian evaluated that the L2FH Rotation 6 has fulfilled its mission with excellence. “You have not only provided professional medical services, but also spread the values of peace, compassion, and the image of a humanitarian, disciplined, and reliable Vietnam to the international community,” said Lt. Gen. Mohan Subramanian.
On this occasion, 11 peacekeepers from other countries carrying out duties at UNMISS were also honored with the medal.
