Governor of the Indonesian Naval Academy Rear Admiral Supardi hosted the reception.

At the event, Sr. Capt. Nguyen Dinh Giang said that Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don has conducted four sea training sessions for senior cadets of the Naval Academy, combined with exchanges with the navies of other countries, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei. This is the second time that the sailing vessel has visited Indonesia and the first time to Surabaya. The visit serves as evidence of the friendship between the two navies.

Sr. Capt. Nguyen Dinh Giang and Rear Admiral Supardi discussed the functions, tasks, training models, scientific research, and international cooperation of the two naval academies, agreeing that the visit of Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don offered an opportunity to the two academies to exchange and explore the possibility of cooperation in education and training.
