Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don departs for Indonesia and Brunei
PANO - On July 6, at Nha Trang military port (Khanh Hoa), Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don with a working delegation led by Senior Captain Nguyen Dinh Giang, Deputy Director of the Naval Academy, departed for visits and exchanges with the navies of Indonesia and Brunei.
Senior Captain Ngo Thanh Cong, Deputy Director of the Naval Academy, and representatives of the academy’s organs and units were present to see the delegation off.

According to the plan, the working delegation on board Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don will pay courtesy calls on local leaders and naval officials of Indonesia and Brunei; engage in exchange programs with cadets from the Indonesian Naval Academy; participate in sports competitions with the Royal Brunei Navy; host receptions onboard; and visit local historical and cultural sites.

During the mission, Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don and the delegation will conduct sea training for senior cadets, aiming to enhance their commanding skills, coordination, and proficiency in using onboard equipment. They will also practice sea reconnaissance, handle various actual circumstances in international waters, and follow principles for naval greetings and the code of conduct for unexpected encounters at sea.

Senior Captain Nguyen Dinh Giang emphasized that this mission aligns with the directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense regarding international integration and defense external affairs. It aims to strengthen friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the Vietnam People's Army, the Vietnam People's Navy, and the armed forces and navies of Indonesia and Brunei.

Earlier, the delegation on Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don offered incense in tribute to Grand Duke Tran Hung Dao. The ship is expected to dock at Surabaya (Indonesia) on July 17.
