In turn, General Giang underlined that along with the growing developments of the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership, the bilateral defense cooperation has been expanded in a practical and effective manner.

Accordingly, the two sides have regularly conducted exchanges of visits and meetings on the sidelines of multilateral forums while actively carrying out annual mechanisms such as the ministerial-level defense policy dialogue and young officers’ exchange program.

In addition, they have paid attention to expanding cooperation in maritime security, education and training, defense industry, UN peacekeeping operations, and strategic research.

General Giang and Ambassador Verma shared the same view that in the time to come, Vietnam and India should further expand their bilateral defense relations, especially in defense industry, personnel training, experience exchanges on UN peacekeeping missions, cooperation between strategic research agencies, and supporting each other at multilateral forums, contributing to the bilateral relations as well as peace, stability, and development in the region.
