On behalf of the China Border Gate Management Cooperation Committee, representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam extend congratulations to the Vietnam Border Gate Management Cooperation Committee on the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day.

At the meeting, the guests conveyed their best wishes to the leaders and members of the Vietnamese agency. They highly valued the cooperation between the two committees and expressed confidence that the partnership would continue to develop substantively and effectively, contributing to the growth of the border gates between the two countries.

Gen. Toan expressed his sincere thanks to the guests for their sentiments and congratulations. He emphasized that in recent times, the two committees have effectively promoted their cooperative ties in border gate management.

He also underlined that the Vietnamese committee has actively implemented contents noted in the minutes of the ninth meeting between the two committees in June 2024 and achieved remarkable results. These included agreement to officially open two pairs of bilateral border gates, active direction over the building of a smart border gate model at the Huu Nghi (Vietnam) - Youyi Guan (China) international border gate pair, and holding discussions on border gate planning and clearance capacity to facilitate harmonized planning and development.

The host hoped that the Chinese committee would continue close coordination to effectively actualize the outcomes of the ninth meeting of the cooperation committee for Vietnam - China land border gate management. Focus should be made on early upgrading the Ta Lung (Vietnam) – Shuikou (China) border gate pair to international status, considering facilitation of customs clearance, expanding the list of Vietnamese fruits and agricultural products eligible for export to China, creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods to access the Chinese market and third countries, and successfully organizing the 10th meeting in October 2025 in China.
