At the same time, the visit will help deepen the close relationship between the two militaries in particular and the two countries in general.

On February 7, a solemn ceremony was held at the port to welcome the ship and her crew-members. Naval Captain Le Nam Son, Second-in-command of Brigade 125 of the Naval Region 2 Command and U.K. Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew attended the event.

During their stay, the British crew-members will pay a courtesy visit on leaders of the municipal People's Committee, Military Region 7 Command, and Naval Region 2 Command.

They will also participate in sports and cultural exchanges with officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 2 Command.
