The Hoi An Waste Treatment Factory, the first in Hoi An City, was unveiled on July 15th in Cam Ha Commune.
The factory, capable of disposing of 55 tonnes of waste a day, is one of the three works on sewage and solid waste treatment and environmental protection, with a budget of over VND 77 billion, including more than €2 million, equalling over VND 57 billion, financed by the government of France.
Also of note is the fact that Quang the Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is spending VND 15 billion to prevent wood-boring worm for Hoi An’s Old Quarter, which poses a serious threat for the ancient architecture of the City.
