With the need of applying information technology in methadone treatment management system of the VAAC, Viettel has quickly built a system with 13 modules, 120 features, including patient management, barcode reception, integration of NFC card, and face recognition technology by camera.

Established on 1st of June 2017, the system has been piloted in Hanoi city and Thai Nguyen province and provided medicines to more than 5,500 patients. Accordingly, managers can view and assess indicators such as tables, charts, treatment results via a computer and a mobile device with network connection.

Each patient will have an ID and electronic medical record to manage their treatment. They can take the medicine at any facility without having to bring their records with them. Using this app, they can make appointments and select treatment locations. The system will show patients the nearest location where they can access the medicine.

This is also a typical product, demonstrating Viettel's efforts in association with the State's agencies to apply IT in management to meet the inevitable trend for the 4.0 industrial revolution.

So far Viettel has conducted many software projects in health sectors such as Vaccine Information Management System (VIMS), Infectious Disease Management System of the Department of Preventive Medicine and so on.
