Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), attended and addressed the event.
In his speech, General Quyet praised Viettel’s remarkable achievements over the past decade. He emphasized that throughout the ten years, Viettel has not only embraced President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary ideals but also embodied his simplicity and humility in daily interactions, work ethics, leadership, and, most importantly, in practicing what it preaches, staying close to the people, and serving the people wholeheartedly.
With a spirit of innovation and creativity, Viettel has cultivated a corporate cultural value system characterized by humility, a willingness to learn, responsibility, innovation, and dedication. General Quyet affirmed that Viettel remains a leading enterprise in technology, innovation, defense, and national digital transformation.
He noted that the complex global and regional developments present significant challenges to national defense. Therefore, Viettel must further enhance its capabilities in strategic thinking, innovation, core technology development, and production to meet the urgent and essential demands of safeguarding the Fatherland in the current context.
To continue effectively implementing Directive 05 and fulfilling its core mission, General Quyet urged Viettel to maintain its vanguard role in developing modern weapons and equipment, mastering core technologies, and strengthening self-reliance and resilience in defense. He also stressed the importance of integrating the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology with corporate cultural development, prioritizing the training of talented and virtuous personnel with ethics as the foundation, expanding international cooperation, and honoring exemplary individuals and collectives.
He expressed hope that Viettel will continue to be a leading economic-defense group in Vietnam, a role model in studying and practicing Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and style, and a driving force in building a strong, prosperous, democratic, and civilized Vietnam. As the country enters a new era, Viettel is expected to play a key role in advancing the cause of building and firmly defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Outstanding individuals honored with the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order |
At the event, three individuals were awarded the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order for their outstanding contributions to high-tech defense. One individual received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. Additionally, 11 collectives and 9 individuals were commended by the General Director of Viettel.
