Dak Lak holds memorial services for volunteer soldiers fallen in Cambodia
PANO - Dak Lak provincial authorities held a solemn ceremony to commemorate and re-bury 14 Vietnamese volunteer experts and troops who had laid down their lives serving international duty in Cambodia on May 16 at the provincial War Martyrs’ Cemetery.

Their remains were found in the Cambodian province of Mondulkiri by the provincial Military Command’s Search Team K51 during seven months of the 2016-2017 dry season. No remains has not yet been identified.
Addressing the services, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee H’Dim Kdoh expressed deep gratitude to the fallen soldiers and emphasized the significance of searching and repatriating remains of fallen volunteer experts and soldiers.
The participants later laid wreaths and offered incense to fallen soldiers at their tombs.
Since 2001, the province’s Search Team K51 repatriated 640 remains of Vietnamese volunteer experts and troops who had laid down their lives in Cambodia.
