An Giang: Personal belongings found in martyr’s grave

Members of DNA Sampling Team No.4 record, classify and preserve personal belongings found in the grave.

The items were found in Grave No.20, row 05, section 1C. According to field records, the team recovered a pair of rubber sandals, a metal necklace, a pair of metal tweezers, three shirt buttons, and a long bone measuring approximately 6cm. These features may help relatives and former comrades identify or recall personal belongings once used by the fallen soldier.

Immediately after the discovery, members of DNA Sampling Team No.4 recorded, classified, and preserved the personal belongings associated with the grave, while carrying out biological sample collection procedures in accordance with regulations.

The Steering Committee 515 of An Giang province calls on relatives of martyrs, veterans, former comrades, and people who fought or worked in the Hon Dat area to share images of the recovered personal belongings. Anyone who recognizes the mentioned features as possibly belonging to a relative or former comrade who was buried or reburied at Hon Dat War Cemetery, particularly in Grave No.20, row 05, section 1C, is asked to provide relevant information so that competent authorities can verify and cross-check the details.
