From early morning, personnel involved in the mission gathered at the airport to inspect and verify records and ensure that all handover and transportation procedures were properly carried out. Delegates and personnel observed a moment of silence and respectfully offered incense and flowers in tribute to the fallen.

Following the ceremony, the samples, sealed and preserved in specialized containers draped with the national flag, were carefully loaded onto a CASA-295 military transport aircraft operated by Air Force Brigade 918 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

All stages of the receiving, transportation, preservation, and handover process were carried out under standardized procedures. The aircraft flew from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to Gia Lam Airport in Hanoi, where the samples were handed over and transported to the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology for DNA testing.

Air transport helps shorten transportation time while ensuring safety and strict procedures throughout the handover process. The mission also reflects the sense of responsibility and close coordination among the agencies and units involved.

With profound humanitarian significance, the effort contributes to accelerating the identification of fallen soldiers whose identities remain unknown, responding to the wishes of their relatives and families and upholding Viet Nam’s tradition of honoring those who sacrificed for the nation.
