* On February 8, Regiment 224, under Air Defense Division 375 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, held a Spring welcoming program combined with the launch of the Tree Planting Festival 2026.
According to Colonel Nguyen Van Huy, Political Commissar of Regiment 224, the Spring welcoming program and tree-planting festival are among the practical activities to welcome Tet 2026 and celebrate the foundation anniversary of Air Defense Division 375 (February 14, 1968 - 2026), contributing to a joyful atmosphere during the nation’s traditional Lunar New Year.

Regiment leaders present Tet gifts to service members from disadvantaged families |
The program featured a variety of activities, including Tet booth decoration contests, traditional square glutinous rice cake (banh chung) making, flower arranging, and folk games. These activities helped boost morale, raise a sense of responsibility, and strengthen determination among officers and soldiers to successfully fulfill assigned missions.
On this occasion, Regiment 224 presented 22 Tet gift packages, worth a total of VND 11 million, to families of officers and soldiers facing difficult circumstances.
* Also on February 8, the “Green Banh Chung – Tet for the Poor” 2026 program took place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
The program was organized by the Department of Culture of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Over its 11-year journey, the initiative has played an important role in introducing Vietnam’s traditional cultural values to both domestic and international visitors.
Within the framework of this year’s program, the organizing committee presented nearly 700 Tet gifts to disadvantaged families in the provinces of Cao Bang, Lang Son, and Quang Tri; Doai Phuong and Yen Bai communes of Hanoi; the Vietnam Center for Nurturing Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; as well as ethnic minority communities currently living and working at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

* On February 6-7, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command and partners held the 2026 “Spring at the Border and Islands – Tet Strengthening Military-Civilian Bonds” program at Pu Nhi Border Station. Major General Vu Van Tung, the Command's leader, attended alongside provincial officials, businesses, and local authorities. Recently, the Command has mobilized various sectors to support soldiers and residents in border and island regions through this initiative.

At the event, the organizing committee presented more than 200 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and students facing special hardships. In addition, free medical examinations, consultations, and medicine distribution were provided to approximately 250 local residents.
