Under the plan, 50 officers and soldiers of the Da Nang Municipal Border Guard Command have been deployed to take part in the campaign. From December 23, 2025 to January 31, 2026, the unit will construct five houses for five Co Tu ethnic minority families in Tay Giang commune, Da Nang city.

These households lost their houses due to prolonged heavy rains and flooding in October and November.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Hoang Van Man, Political Commissar of the Da Nang Municipal Border Guard Command, praised the sense of responsibility and voluntary spirit shown by the participating personnel. He noted that the task is demanding, as a large volume of work must be completed within a short time. Nevertheless, he emphasized that the mission is both an honor and a source of pride. He called on the deployed forces to clearly understand the significance of “Quang Trung Campaign,” strictly observe laws, discipline, and unit regulations, and maintain close, respectful relations with local authorities and residents. Unity and mutual support among personnel from different units were highlighted as key factors to ensure timely or even ahead-of-schedule completion so that affected families can soon settle into new houses and celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Ten skilled officers and soldiers were deployed after successfully completing, ahead of schedule, a house for the family of Cao Ca Yen in Tay Khanh Son commune, which was inaugurated and handed over on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army on December 22.

According to Colonel Bui Van Tam, Deputy Chief of Staff of Brigade 162 and commander of the construction site, the reinforced forces have been arranged to simultaneously build four single-story houses, each with an area of over 100sq.m.

With more than 70 officers and soldiers currently on site, all houses have had their walls erected, two of which are already more than halfway completed and entering the stage of installing mezzanine beams. Despite challenging weather conditions, living and working arrangements have been well ensured, and the troops remain united and determined, working day and night to accelerate progress.
