The house, located in Chanh Hoi hamlet, Ngo May commune, belongs to the family of To Thi Sua and has been constructed by officers and soldiers of Engineering Brigade 7 under Army Corps 34 since December 3. The house has a total floor area of 55 square meters, with a total cost of VND 130 million, of which the State provided VND 60 million. The remaining amount was contributed by the family, while Engineering Brigade 7 fully supported the labor costs.

Colonel Le Hong Thach, Deputy Political Commissar of Engineering Brigade 7, said that Sua is a person with meritorious service to the revolution. The 90-year old woman lives with a son who has been congenitally mute, and the family’s circumstances are extremely difficult. Therefore, during the construction process, officers and soldiers of Engineering Brigade 7 strictly implemented the principle of being “the fastest, the most economical, and the most effective” so that Sua and her son could soon have a house and stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, Major General Nguyen Tran Long, Deputy Political Commissar of Army Corps 34, shared the hardships and difficulties faced by people in flood-affected localities in general and by To Thi Sua’s family in particular. He affirmed that under any conditions and in any circumstances, officers and soldiers of Army Corps 34 would always stand side by side with the people, accompanying and supporting them in overcoming difficulties.

On implementing “Quang Trung Campaign,” which aims at the rapid reconstruction and repair of houses for residents after floods, Army Corps 34 has established a steering committee and deployed more than 900 officers and soldiers, along with equipment, to assist people in Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces in rebuilding and repairing their houses.
