Building on the program’s effectiveness, the Women’s Association has continued sponsoring five disadvantaged children in 2026. The beneficiaries are from poor families and include children who are orphaned or lack adequate parental care.
Support is provided through monthly financial assistance, school supplies, clothing, daily necessities, and regular visits and encouragement. These efforts by women serving in the provincial armed forces have helped ease the children’s hardships, enabling them to remain in school and integrate more confidently with their peers.
Major Hoang Thi Bich Dao, Vice President of the Women’s Association of the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command, said that each child sponsored through the program faces a particularly difficult situation and deserves the attention and support of the community. She noted that, with care and responsibility, female officers and members of the provincial armed forces hope to contribute in a meaningful way so that the children can continue their education, grow up with better opportunities, and avoid being left behind.
One beneficiary, Nguyen Pham Tuong Vy, expressed her gratitude for the support she has received. She said her family faces severe financial hardship following the early death of her father. Her mother suffers from poor health, has no stable job, and the family has yet to have a solid house. At times, she feared she would have to leave school. However, the care, encouragement, and assistance provided by the Women’s Association have given her warmth, confidence, and renewed hope. She pledged to study hard, obey her mother and teachers, and strive to become a useful member of society in the future.
Beyond providing immediate assistance, the Women’s Association focuses on long-term support by regularly learning about the children’s needs and aspirations in order to offer appropriate help. As a result, the bonds between the “mothers” and the children have grown increasingly close.
Colonel Tran Thi Giang, President of the Women’s Association of the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command, said the organization will continue expanding humanitarian and charitable activities while further promoting the program among officers and members. The goal is not only to provide material support but also to care for the children’s spiritual well-being, helping them develop comprehensively, nurture their dreams, and strengthen their determination to overcome life’s challenges.

Under the program, each child receives support for 36 consecutive months, with total assistance amounting to VND 20 million. The funding comes from contributions by association members and donations mobilized from social sources. In addition, members are assigned to closely follow each child’s situation, visit them during illness, and provide encouragement during holidays and the Lunar New Year.
Through these simple yet meaningful acts of kindness, the program has spread humanitarian values throughout the community. The initiative further highlights the image of military women as courageous, compassionate, and responsible while contributing to local efforts to care for disadvantaged children.
