Military supports road accident victims
PANO – A delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, inquired after and handed over financial support to victims of a recent road accident in Bo Trach district.
At 10 p.m. on July 26, an accident occurred on a section of the Ho Chi Minh Highway near Phong Nha - Ke Bang - a tourist site in Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, causing nine deaths and multiple injuries.
Right after that, the Quang Binh provincial Military Command immediately sent 64 troops to the scene for search and rescue work.

Under the direction of Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, a delegation of the General Staff and the Military Region 4 (MR4) Command, on July 26, inquired after the injured victims who are under treatment at the Vietnam - Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan handed over cash, donated by the Ministry of National Defense, to the injured victims and families of the deceased.
In addition, Deputy Commander of the MR4 Command Major General Nguyen Van Man also presented money to the victims.
