Then, doctors and medical staff from Military Hospital 103 and Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns under the university provided free health checkups, health counseling and medicines to around 500 national contributors and needy people in the commune.
They also handed over gifts to 20 local policy beneficiaries, a TV set to the commune’s kindergarten, and a house of gratitude to family of war veteran Tran Quang Trung in Village 7.
According to Major General Nguyen Viet Luong, Deputy Commissar of the university and head of the delegation, the Military Medical University has over the past time carried out a number of social programs in poor localities in Son La, Lang Son, Lai Chau, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc and Quang Tri provinces.
This program was part of the university’s activities in celebration of the 74th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944-2018) and the 29th Whole People's Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989-2018), and the 70th foundation day of the university (March 10, 1949-2019).
