This meaningful activity was part of the program series “Border spring warms people’s hearts,” aimed at providing care for policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged students in the border commune to welcome a warm Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

At the program, the organizers presented 25 gift packages to policy beneficiary families, each worth VND 800,000, and granted 20 scholarships, totally valued at VND 10 million, to disadvantaged students. During the program, many other practical and meaningful projects, including the “National flag road,” “Youth planting flowers,” and “Lighting up the border,” were carried out.

On this occasion, members of the Students’ Association and troops of Tong Le Chan Border Post joined in making banh tet (cylindrical glutinous rice cake) to celebrate the traditional Tet. The total funding for the program exceeded VND 55 million.

Addressing the event, Political Commissar of Tong Le Chan Border Post Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Toi emphasized that the program not only provided material support but also conveyed significant spiritual encouragement and solidarity to local residents and students in the border area.

The program contributed to further strengthening the bond between the military and the people, motivating local residents to enjoy a warm and compassionate spring, while standing side by side with the border guard force in firmly safeguarding national border sovereignty and security.
