Additionally, the delegation donated 400 pairs of chung cakes for soldiers and locals to celebrate the Tet holiday.

Nun Thich Nu Gioi Van, Abbess of Phuc Linh Pagoda (Hai Phong city), shared that after traveling a long and steep journey to reach the village, they felt deep sympathy with the hardships of local people. They hoped that these gifts would help the Pa Co community enjoy a warmer traditional Tet holiday.

Located near the Vietnam-Laos border, Pa Ling village is inhabited entirely by the Pa Co ethnic group, with a poverty rate of nearly 51%. Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Trung, Political Commissar of A Vao Border Post, noted that community support serves as a great encouragement for locals to strive for sustainable poverty reduction.

At the program, the organizing panel presented 200 Tet gifts, each worth VND 500,000, to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in the commune. This was a meaningful annual socio-political activity, reflecting the responsibility of the border guard force toward local residents.
This activity not only helped locals enjoy a Tet holiday, but also contributed to reinforcing the people’s trust, building a solid people’s heart posture, and creating a foundation for firmly maintaining the national sovereignty and border security.
