The event was part of activities to mark the 78th anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2025).

During the event, the GDP’s Deputy Chief extended heartfelt gratitude to wounded and sick soldiers for their tremendous sacrifices for national liberation and reunification. He also expressed appreciation to the staff, doctors, nurses, and caregivers at the center for their dedication and tireless efforts in caring for the soldiers.

General Minh encouraged the wounded and sick soldiers at the center to stay healthy and continue embodying the spirit of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, serving as role models and sources of inspiration for younger generations. He also called on the center to further enhance the quality of care and rehabilitation services, creating an environment of comradeship and military-civilian solidarity for the soldiers.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts from the CMC, MND, Military Region 3 Command, and Ninh Binh province to Nho Quan Convalescent Center. Additionally, 63 individual gifts were delivered to the wounded and sick soldiers under treatment at the facility.

The same day, another delegation from the GDP, led by Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, offered incense in tribute to General Nguyen Quyet, former Vice Chairman of the State Council, former Chief of the GDP, and former Deputy Minister of National Defense.

The delegation solemnly offered incense and expressed profound respect and gratitude for the General’s lifelong contribution to Vietnam’s revolution, national development, and the growth of the Vietnam People’s Army.

On the occasion, General Tung visited General Nguyen Quyet’s family, during which he inquired about their well-being and wished them good health, happiness, and success in both life and work.

Also on July 18, a delegation from the General Staff (GS), led by its Deputy Chief Major General Nguyen Ba Luc, visited Thuan Thanh Convalescent Center in Bac Ninh province. The center is providing care for 84 wounded and sick soldiers from 13 provinces across the country.

During the visit, General Luc conveyed his deep respect for the veterans' sacrifices for the nation’s independence and freedom. He emphasized that the GS and the entire military always remember their contributions and have promoted gratitude work through practical activities.

He also praised the dedication of the center’s staff and acknowledged the crucial support provided by local authorities and Military Region 1 in enabling the center to operate effectively.
