Defense-Economic Unit 78 presents gifts to laborers and people

At the event, leaders of Defense-Economic Unit 78 visited and encouraged local people, presenting 1,200 gifts, worth over VND 220 million, to needy laborers and poor households in Mo Rai commune.

This is an annual activity of Defense-Economic Unit 78, aiming at providing rice and supplies to needy laborers and poor households during the between-crop period, thereby supporting them to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Truong Vinh, Commanding Officer of Defense-Economic Unit 78, held that the unit is stationed and performs tasks mainly in Mo Rai border commune. Over the past years, the unit has implemented numerous effective programs and models to support laborers and local people in developing the economy and improving their lives. These efforts have contributed to building the firm people’s defense posture in the area.

This is one of activities marking the 26th anniversary of the unit’s establishment (March 26, 1999 - 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day.
