In this event, the joint forces presented some 64,000 chicks, 20 sows, four horses, and four baby buffaloes and provided recipients with caring skills.

Receiving over 30 chicks, Ly Thi Hoa from Kho Vang village, Coc Lau commune, excitedly said that her freshly-built house collapsed by Typhoon Yagi and her family is trying to re-build it. She promised to take care of the chicks according to provided techniques, develop household economy, and raise income.

Also in Bat Xat district, the delegation presented 500 gifts and 500 nutritious, hygienic, and safe meals for students at A Lu commune’s Primary and Secondary School. The meals full of sentiments, care and sharing, were a source of motivation for them.

The school’s principal, Vu Van Minh, said that the gifts were valuable to help ease students’ study difficulties and served as a source of strength for them to further study.

Typhoon Yagi was over half a year ago, but its consequences are still huge in Bac Ha and Bat Xat districts. Therefore, such support is truly significant. The “Post-storm life” program is a testament to the close bond between the military and people, encouraging disadvantaged people in mountainous areas to surmount hardships and be confident in the bright future.

Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district Dang Van Chinh highlighted that charity activities such as the “Post-storm life” program show the community’s responsibility for the needy and promote the good tradition of the nation that “the good leaves protect the worn-out ones.” He said that further assistance will be provided to the recipients in taking care of livestock breeds donated by the program to develop the economy and stabilize their lives soon.
