Chief of General Staff attends festival in Ha Nam
PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff (GS) of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, joined the National Great Unity Festival in Yen Noi village, Tien Ngoai commune, Duy Tien district, Ha Nam province.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong was touched by the warm reception of the local authorities and people. He expressed his delight at the village’s achievements over the past time, highlighting that solidarity is a good tradition which has been nurtured and promoted throughout the history of the nation. The Party and State consider the national great unity as one of the vital principles for the country’s destiny.

He hoped that in the coming time, the local authorities would continue to implement national programs and goals; realize and carry out the Party’s guidelines and State policies and laws, especially the Resolution of the fifth Conference (session XI) of the Central Party Committee on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas to 2020, with a vision to 2045, to name but a few.

On this occasion, the GS’s Chief informed delegates about the achievements of the Defense Ministry in implementing military and defense tasks, ensuring policies for the military and its rear, carrying out gratitude work and participation in emulation movements launched by the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
