After the ceremony, the participants cleaned up the environment, took care of flowers and decorative plants in the barracks, built a fence system for the youth projects, collected rubbish and cleaned roads in the stationed area, to name but a few.

According to Colonel Vu Trung Thanh, Political Commissar of Brigade 168, over the past time, the “Voluntary Saturday” and “Green Sunday” programs have attracted the active participation of a large number of troops and Youth Union members. These activities showed the vanguard, creative and voluntary spirits of the youths in environmental protection, contributing to building the beauty of military culture, creating a green, clean and beautiful environment, and encouraging youths to actively join emulation movements, thereby successfully accomplishing the unit’s political tasks.
