Whole military’s electronic warfare conference in 2024 held
PANO - The Department of Electronic Warfare under the General Staff organized the whole military electronic warfare conference in 2024 on March 25, in the presence of Deputy Chief of the General Staff (GS) Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang.
During the conference, together with pointing out outstanding results, limitations and causes, delegates proposed several key contents and measures in the coming time. Particularly, the Department of Electronic Warfare should continue to give timely advice to higher levels’ leaders to effectively organize activities for the electronic warfare force close to the task requirements of each agency and unit.

Also, the department should enhance combat readiness competence to ensure absolute safety in major events of the country while closely following electronic warfare information in key areas at sea, on islands, and in border areas to deal with any circumstances in a timely manner. The department should organize more intensive training activities to master new and modern military technical equipment, as well as conduct exercises at various levels via various forms, among others.
In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang applauded the great efforts of the Department of Electronic Warfare and electronic warfare units in the whole military in their task performance. Regarding the missions in the time to come, the GS deputy chief required them to strictly maintain combat readiness observance; safely protect major events of the country; raise the comprehensive quality of training; organize refresher courses to improve the organization and command capabilities of officers at all levels; promote scientific research; and apply information technology in management, exploitation and usage of electronic warfare equipment.

* On the same day, the Department of Electronic Warfare opened a refresher course on electronic warfare in the whole military.
During the three-day course, trainees will be equipped with contents related to techniques and tactics to prevent unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), the deployment of the electronic warfare force in safely protecting major events of the Party, State and military, etc.
