The activity, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the Air” Victory (1972-2022), saw the presence of Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs Senior Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong,  Chief of the Hanoi Capital Command Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet, and Political Commissar of the Hanoi Capital Command Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Trien.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Duyet stressed that the upgradation was completed after nearly five months, ensuring progress, quality, and absolute safety.

According to General Duyet, B-52 Victory Museum was upgraded in the direction of modernization. Its system of sand table maps is applied with the latest technology and is digitized to boost interaction, exploitation, facilitate researching and visiting. The upgraded museum has an advanced storage equipment, a scientific indoor and outdoor exhibition system that harmonizes with the architecture, scenery, space and development of the capital city.

With valuable exhibits, documents and images, the museum helps educate today and future generations about the historical values of the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air” victory.

The upgraded museum, as the Chief of the Hanoi Capital Command said, with more exhibits, documents, and images, will help educate today and future generations about the historical values of the “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the Air” Victory. It will also help consolidate their absolute trust in the Party leadership, uphold the national pride, bring into play the traditions, complete all assignments, contributing to the success of the national renewal cause.

Located at 157 Doi Can street, Ngoc Ha ward, Ba Dinh district, B-52 Victory Museum will open for tourists from December 15.
