Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Phuong Nam talk with reconnaissance forces of Ha Nam provincial Military Command

After checking documents related to training and combat readiness plans of the two units, General Nam hailed  the units for their recent outstanding results.

He urged both units’ Party committees and leaders at all levels to direct ideological and political education, observe combat readiness regulations, and raise troops’ vigilance of hostile forces’ plots.

The units were also requested to work closely with local relevant forces to uphold local political security, social order and safety, pay due attention to troops and policy beneficiaries during Tet, and launch emulation movements.

* The same day, a mission of the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its deputy director Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Nghia, visited its affiliates, including Military Printing One Member Co., Ltd. No. 1, Army Publishing House, Military Library, and Unit 871.

At these units, the mission checked their fire-fighting and fire prevention and reviewed the units’ task performance results from last year and heard missions and combat readiness plans laid out for this year.

On behalf of the GDP leadership, General Nghia highly valued each unit’s solidarity, efforts to overcome difficulties and mission accomplishments.

He asked the units to take advantage of advanced technologies, and be creative in performing major political missions.

Ahead of the 13th National Party Congress and Tet holiday, General Nghia requested units to embrace higher levels’ directions on combat readiness duties and welcoming Tet. He also urged them to develop scenarios to cope with any situations, and seriously apply COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

On the occasion, General Nghia wished everyone a happy Tet and presented Tet gifts to troops and workers.
