Reportedly, combat readiness mission as well as preparations for Tet holiday 2021 of Ho Chi Minh City’s Border Guard Command and Military Command have been implemented creatively and effectively, in line with the units’ assigned missions.
In order to protect the 13th National Party Congress and ensure safety for Tet holiday 2021, troops of Ho Chi Minh City’s Military Command have grasped the directions and instructions in combat readiness and preparation for the holiday.

Meanwhile, the municipal Border Guard Command implemented combat readiness work to protect the 13th National Party Congress, while deploying forces to border posts and stations under the management of the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command so as to ensure security in border areas and prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic.
Concluding the inspection, General Can acknowledged and hailed the preparations of the two units, emphasizing that Ho Chi Minh City is considered the southern hub for socio-economic and cultural activities, and a key strategic area for security and defense. However, the city is still facing many challenges related to crimes. Therefore, the units should strictly maintain combat readiness and be active at all times.

In addition, they were asked to implement gratitude activities, and care for policy households and wounded soldiers as well as complete COVID-19 prevention and control tasks.
On this occasion, General Can extended Tet greetings and presented gifts from the MND to the two units.
* On the same day, the delegation also visited and worked with Regiment 31, Division 309 of Army Corps 4.
During the inspection, the delegation was briefed on the unit’s task performance in maintaining combat readiness ahead of Tet.
Hailing the unit’s efforts, General Can requested them to overcome difficulties to fulfill all assigned missions, especially prior to the 13th National Party Congress.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the MND, General Can handed over gifts and extended Tet greetings to troops of the unit.
