Retired senior officers in the North gather in Hanoi
PANO - On January 7, in Hanoi, the Central Military Commission (CMC), the Ministry of National Defense (MND) organized a get-together for retired senior officers in the North. Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang presided over the event.
The meeting was attended by members and former members of the Party Central Committee, leaders and former leaders of the MND, the General Staff, and the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), representatives of the Vietnam Veterans’ Association, and retired generals and senior officers in the North.

At the meeting, General Phan Van Giang briefed delegates on the world, regional, and domestic situations, outstanding results in military and defense work and the building of the Military Party Organization in 2025, and key orientations and tasks for 2026.

On behalf of the CMC, MND, General Phan Van Giang expressed deep gratitude to previous generations of officers and highly appreciated their great contributions. He hoped that the retired senior officers would continue to make contribution and give opinions to the cause of national construction and protection as well as military building.
