GDP’s Chief General Nguyen Trong Nghia made the request during the GDP’s conference to review July task performance, held in both in-person and online formats on July 30 in Hanoi.

At the event, Head of the GDP Office Major General Do Van Dao delivered a report highlighting that agencies and units have closely aligned Party and political work with military and defense tasks, completing all planned and ad hoc missions.
According to the report, troops have had stable thinking. Among 56 key tasks scheduled for July, 35 have been completed and 21 remain on schedule. All 17 GDP’s programs and projects, including six digital transformation initiatives and 11 construction projects, are progressing as planned.
Concluding the meeting, General Nghia highly praised agencies and units for their great efforts and comprehensive results achieved in July. He attributed the achievements to the leadership role of Party committees and chains-of-command, as well as the pro-active, creative and disciplined spirit and strong sense of responsibility demonstrated by cadres and Party members.
The GDP’s chief asked agencies and units to address shortcomings, uphold leadership principles, strengthen discipline, improve working methods, clearly assign responsibilities, and enhance professional competence and coordination.
Given the rapid and unpredictable development of regional and international situations, he urged agencies and units to strengthen internal communications, provide timely and in-depth information to help officers and soldiers correctly understand emerging issues. Greater attention should also be paid to studying social trends, the impact of cyberspace, and other factors that could influence the ideological outlook of military personnel.
He underlined that Party resolutions and regulations on ideological work should be translated into concrete actions capable of producing tangible improvements in awareness and implementation.
He asked for the study and prompt implementation of the Resolution of the third plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee; and intensification of information dissemination about major national and military anniversaries in August and September while pro-actively preparing activities for significant milestones leading up to 2030. He also laid stress on thorough preparations to serve future inspection and supervision work, and acceleration of personnel consolidation, particularly at the grassroots level.
Gen. Nghia called for continued improvements in policies for national contributors, more determined implementation of the 500-day campaign to search for, collection and identify martyrs' remains, and strict adherence to schedules and quality standards for military construction projects, especially cultural facilities and housing.
At the conference, on behalf of the Prime Minister, General Nguyen Trong Nghia handed over the Prime Minister's certificate of merit to the Department of Political Education and Information and the Department of Organization for their outstanding attainments in advising on, preparing for and organizing the 14th National Party Congress.
