The exercise consisted of three phases, namely, shifting to higher-level combat readiness status; maneuvering and encamping, including a river crossing; and executing tactical forms.

At the company level, troops practiced three tactical forms: ambush maneuver, assault against an airborne-landed enemy, and defense in midland terrain. At the battalion level, the exercise focused on the scenario in which an infantry battalion attacked an enemy in temporary defensive in midland terrain.

Despite changeable weather and intensive training, the troops always demonstrated responsibility, overcame difficulties, handled combat situations effectively, and ensured secrecy, surprise and effectiveness.
