Within the program, Huong Lap Border Post joined hands in organizing a friendship exchange between Vietnamese and Lao youths, starting the construction of a “Warm house in border areas” at a cost of VND 70 million to present to the family of Ho Van Rac in A Soc - Cha Ly village, Huong Lap commune.

Huong Lap border guards also hosted a haircut program, planted a friendship tree at Marker 591, and repaired a 150-meter section of the Se Pu - Ta Pang inter-village road in Huong Lap commune. Additionally, they granted 10 scholarships to disadvantaged students, presented 12,000 breeding chickens, ducks, and fry to local armed forces’ units, village patriarchs, heads of villages, reputable people of three twinned villages, and needy cadres, teachers, students, and families living on both sides of the borders. The total value for these meaningful activities was over VND 300 million.

The “March in border areas” program is among practical activities in realization of the movement entitled “I love my Fatherland.” The program is yearly launched by the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee from March 1 to 31, helping those in border communes, especially impoverished ones.
