The movement from May 13 to December 31 aims to raise its personnel’s awareness of traffic safety regulations and build traffic safety culture in the unit, contributing to reducing traffic accidents and traffic congestion.

During the period, cadres, reporters, editors, workers, and troops of the People’s Army Newspaper will focus on promoting information dissemination on the Government’s administrative fines for road traffic offences, rail transport violations, and Defense Ministry’s directive on promoting leadership over public order and traffic safety in the military.

The newspaper will publish news and articles relating to traffic safety in its different publications as well as encourage its personnel to strictly exercise helmet-wearing regulations, not drive under the influence, and carefully check their vehicles before driving.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Do Phu Tho, Deputy-in-Chief of the People’s Army Newspaper emphasized the significance of the movement in ensuring public order and traffic safety and protecting people’s lives and property.

He asked cadres, reporters, editors, workers, and troops to raise their self-awareness and determination to fulfil all set goals.

On the occasion, the People’s Army Newspaper also reviewed its implementation of the previous emulation movement to mark the South liberation and national reunification day and COVID-19 prevention and control.

At the event, the newspaper honored four groups and 31 individuals for their great achievements in task implementation in the emulation and six groups and 11 officers and staff who actively disseminated information relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
