Nearly 1,000 parade officers and soldiers were briefed on the glorious traditions of the nation from the past to present, particularly the resistant wars against the French colonialists, the U.S. imperialists, and the ongoing Fatherland construction and protection.
Through introductions, lively, modernly displayed and precious exhibits, the troops learnt more about and were grateful to the older generations for their sacrifices and contribution to the nation's present peace, unification and development.
First Lieutenant Vu Minh Hieu from the formation of cadets of military schools and academies said that he felt as if he had been living in the glorious atmosphere of the forefathers when eyeing valuable exhibits, such as the MiG-21 aircraft numbered 5121, the tank No.843, the gun that General Vo Nguyen Giap used in Phai Khat - Na Ngan battle, the national flag faded over time and letters of wartime. He shared that he has learned history mainly through books. Therefore, visiting the museum, seeing showcased items, he was further aware of the significance of peace and the responsibility for building and protecting the Fatherland of young soldiers.
As scheduled, the officers and soldiers will visit the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, the K9-Da Chong Relic Site, and other places.
