* Over the past time, the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) has promoted information dissemination about COVID-19 prevention and control as well as activities of military units to fight the pandemic.

This was heard during the visit of a delegation of the Department of Politics under the Military Region 7 (MR7) Command to the PAN's Southern Bureau on April 23.

During the meeting, Senior Colonel Thai Thanh Duc, Deputy Chief of the Department, hailed the newspaper for its great efforts in disseminating activities of the military region’s armed forces over the past time, especially in the pandemic prevention and control.

Accordingly, representatives from Tecapro handed over VND 100 million in cash and gifts, including face masks, sport equipment and cakes, and encouraged the troops to overcome difficulties in performing tasks as COVID-19-front-line forces.

So far, the military school has received and taken care of over 1,000 Vietnamese citizens returning from abroad. Currently, 30 are still in quarantine at the unit.

Over the past time, Tecapro troops have donated nearly VND 700 million in support of Covid-19 prevention and control.

* Together with other armed forces in Military Region 9, Division 330 has taken measures in COVID-19 prevention and control, including making quality face masks for troops.

Accordingly, about 16 to 20 two-layer face masks have been made every day.

They have offered more than 400 handmade face masks to its troops, contributing to preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and ensuring good health for them.

* On April 23, the PAN's Bureau in the South, in coordination with the Veterans Association of Go Vap district (Ho Chi Minh City), received a ton of rice from an 84-year-old woman, Le Thi Suu, from Ward No.6, Go Vap district, in support of military units in the fight against the COVID-19.

The donor shared that she spent her multiyear-savings to buy the rice.

The PAN's Bureau in the South expressed its thanks to the woman. This was not only a meaningful gift, but also a noble deed amid the country’s COVID-19 fight.
