Frigate 016-Quang Trung arrives at Swettenham Pier, Penang, Malaysia, ready for the multilateral naval exercise.

During the nearly 1,200-nautical-mile voyage from Cam Ranh Military Port to Swettenham Pier, the Vietnamese naval ship’s crew conducted various combat readiness drills according to operational plans, aimed at improving command and coordination capabilities, combat readiness posture, and weapon and equipment proficiency under conditions of extended deployment at sea. The crew also conducted reconnaissance and monitored maritime situations along the route, ensuring absolute safety in all aspects.

AMNEX-3 will officially open on August 16. Frigate 016-Quang Trung and the Vietnamese naval delegation will join various activities within the exercise framework, including both in-port and at-sea phases, until August 22.
