More support for border troops in COVID-19 fight
PANO – The Military Youth Board of the General Department of Politics, in collaboration with several agencies, visited and presented gifts to the Vietnam Border Guard Command on April 21 in support of their COVID-19 fight.

Over the past time, the border guard force has fulfilled regular training missions to ensure national border security and COVID-19 prevention and control. Embracing the directives of higher levels, the command has ordered its affiliated units to establish 1,500 checkpoints, mobilize 6,000 troops to prevent people from illegally entering the country, and move 33,000 citizens to concentrated quarantine areas.
The gifts, worth VND 800 million in total, included 20,000 notebooks and 50,000 pens, which were donated by military youth union members.
The Military Youth Board also held numerous activities to present gifts, worth nearly VND 2 billion in total, to support military units which are joining the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
