PAN joins hands in COVID-19 fight
PANO - A delegation of the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN), led by its Deputy Editor-in-Chief Senior Colonel Do Phu Tho, visited and presented medical supplies to Division 325 of Army Corps 2 on April 22.
Accordingly, the delegation handed over cash and medical supplies, including face masks, antiseptic liquid, disinfectant spray machines, thermometers, protective clothing, worth totally VND 70 million.
During the event, leaders of the division briefed the guests on their COVID-19 prevention and control implementation over the past time. Reportedly, Division 325’s Party Committee has strictly observed instructions of higher levels in COVID-19 prevention and control work, considering it an important combat readiness mission.
In addition, the division has made good preparation in safe accommodation and medical staff as well as equipment to be ready in any circumstances in request. The unit also closely worked with localities to select and receive new recruits with good health in this year’s enlistment drive.
Leaders of Division 325 expressed their thanks to the PAN’s support and affirmed their determination to overcome difficulties to well fulfill their assigned tasks and effectively prevent the spread of the disease.
In turn, Senior Colonel Do Phu Tho shared difficulties facing troops of the unit, saying that over the past time, the PAN has effectively disseminated training and combat readiness missions as well as COVID-19 prevention and control work in the whole military.
Furthermore, the newspaper also received medical supplies and necessities from sponsors nationwide and handed over them to COVID-19-front-line military units and needy people.
He also hoped that Division 325 would continue coordination with local party committees and authorities to embrace the disease development and prevention work, while fulfilling all assignments in the coming time.
