According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the next 12 to 24 hours, the tropical low pressure is forecast to move in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of 10-15km per hour. It continues to cause torrential rain in localities from Thua Thien-Hue to Ninh Thuan provinces.
In response to the storm, on October 11, Military Region 5 mobilized 1,735 troops and militiamen to consolidate 530 houses, evacuate 16,129 people to safer places, towed 155 boats to shelters, and took 211 fish cages to safer places.

Later in the evening, the Phu Yen provincial Military Command instructed its affiliated agencies and units to prepare forces and vehicles to cope with possible situations. The unit also sent two working missions to check military units’ response to the storm. Troops worked with local forces to reinforce houses and stores and evacuate local people to safer places.
Meanwhile, the provincial Border Guard Command sent 287 troops to cooperate with local forces to consolidate or move fish cages to safer places, guide fishermen to take shelters, move people and their property out of storm-hit areas, and reinforce dykes in Hoa An village of Xuan Hoa commune and Hoa Loi village of Xuan Can commune.

Similarly, the Khanh Hoa provincial Military Command mobilized 1,565 troops and 20 specialized vehicles of different kinds to respond to the complicated developments of the storm. The forces helped local people consolidate 2,462 fish cages, mobilized 5,600 farmers to take shelters, and evacuated 262 people to safer places.
During the night of November 10 and on the morning of November 11, around 3,000 troops and 26 vehicles of different kinds of the Khanh Hoa provincial armed forces were ready to cope with the possible situations.
In Binh Dinh province, local authorities, armed forces, and people have also applied different measures to cope with the storm.
